You are a saint.

Amazing guide, thanks a million for putting it together!! I've been putting off learning how to do this for ages. I never got the hang of digital drawing, but also never figured out how to get my art from paper onto the PC.

This is very very very helpful!

The most useful & thought-out journal entry I've seen on NG so far. (Admittedly I haven't been here long, but still)

Much of this I knew already but still learned a couple things. Definitely gonna hafta find a pair of LED panels now... Anyway, who knows how many new artists you'll help with this post. Truly great.

This looks helpful, but holy crap reading this guide pretty much put my motivation down by a bit knowing that all my works are all unfinished and improperly edited. This also gave me doubts that I could be able to pull off something amazing. But I'm gonna try this out, and hopefully, make something that I wouldn't be able to do.

As long as you keep working at it, learning, and improving, you'll be just fine as far as pulling off something amazing. Your works can easily be considered finished, just not so complete. The most recent pencil works in your gallery all show a lot of promise in terms of composition, and willingness to experiment with scenes - that robot "Stroll" one is a very good start - They just need a bit more time and rendering. And the "Cottage" and "Halloween Defender" show you are very capable of creating complete, finished compositions, just apply that rendering mentality to your pencil works.

I'm surprised how many of these tips and tricks I knew. Guess I didn't go o school for nothing

They’re all pretty intuitive, I think a lot of the problems come when artists don’t recognize how detrimental bad documentation can be for their work as well as the outward perception of themselves as an artist

I'm gonna commit this to memory

Well if you forget any of it the guide will always be posted up here for you to refer back to!

I found this guide intresting and helpfull, but also a bit stressing becouse i want to document my art but i don’t how to make it look good and acurret to how it looks irl. But i hope i can get better at it with time. I would realy apriciate it if you could tell me how i could improve my photo of my art :)

Saving this for later. I've always struggled with art pics, this is a big help
