SourCherryJack's News

Hey everybody, I've been working on establishing myself as an artist for hire for the past few months and have finally decided to make a Facebook profile for my work as an artist. From there I plan on selling art, negotiating commissions and just generally being easy to find and contact. If any of you are interested in my art and would like to buy or commission a piece or want an artist for a project of some sort feel free to contact me from said Facebook page or Newgrounds. This website is where I started and where I picked up the skills I have today and I don't intend on abandoning it ever. Also if you would be so kind as to 'like' me on Facebook I'd really appreciate the help in getting my name further out there. I'm also on Instagram if you're into that, @jackdcurleo!

Thanks for taking the time to read and Happy Holidays!

I'm also starting a new Tumblr so check that out.

So recently I've landed an awesome job painting the interior of a bar opening in my area, its going great and I can really see doing this kind of thing for a living. I'm putting my best foot forward into this and really giving it a serious shot and my employer and his associates are very happy with the results so far after two days of work as am I. I feel as though I have begun a new chapter in my life as an artist. I may still be an amateur and still growing as an artist but I am confident enough in my skills to start selling my work and using these skills to make a living. Hopefully all goes well.
That being said feel free to ask about any commissions you may want if my work really jumps out at you. Or if you see a piece in my art section that you love ask me about selling the original drawing, if I still have it I'd be willing to have it shipped to you.

Hey everybody, I don't really make news posts too often because I'm really bad at doing anything relating to a blog or diary type thing but today I'm sitting on a bench about an hour early for the championship game of the recreational roller hockey league I play for and have nothing better to do so here's a news post. I've had a lot of time to draw recently and I've been using it a lot and that's definitely a good thing and I'm enjoying it a lot. But drawing has sort of become the only thing I do besides hockey which is only twice a week so I've kind of fallen into this semi abysmal void of monotony which is a little unnerving. I chose to take some time off of school after finishing high school to just enjoy myself and I'm glad I did but I seriously need to break this antisocial world I've fallen into. My sleeping schedule is completely fucked. I'm on a sort of circular pattern where supposing I wake up at like 6 am the next day I'll wake up at 8am then 11 am until I'm waking up midday and eventually going to sleep at like noon and waking up at 6pm. And then eventually I'm back at waking up at 6 am again only for it to start over. Its pretty interesting.
breaking up this insanity/monotony is the monthly or semi monthly rock show. So far this summer I have been to Mayhem festival, Hootenanny festival, Rancid, Wolfmother, Bad Religion, and Mindless self indulgence and later on this year Gogol Bordello. So that's a news post.
